--Billie Joes name is BILLIE JOE not William Joseph

--The song "Paper Lanterns" is about a girl Billie used to like in High School named Jennifer.


--The album "Dookie" was origanally called "Liquid Dookie" but then later changed.

--The "Insomniac" cover art is titled "God Told Me to skin you alive"

--a "Pasalacqua" is a funeral home in Rodeo, Ca

--Billie Joe wrote "Time of Your Life" after breaking up with an ex-girlfriend of his. After their relationship became even worse, he renamed the song "Good Riddance."

--The song "80" is said to be written for Adrienne, but if you look in the "Dookie" booklet under the "Welcome To Paradise" lyrics, there is a bottle that says "80" being a type of beer. Both make sense to go with the song, do you know?

--Jesse Micheals did the cover art for "1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours".

--Mike took the picture of himself in the "nimrod." booklet.

--"One For The Razorbacks" is about a girl named "Juliet" that lived in Fainsville, AK

--"Stuck With Me" originally had no name, but due to error at the printers making "Stuck With Me" the name of the song, the band decided to keep it. The song "Do Da Da" used to be called "Stuck With Me" and that's how the mix-up occured

--"Why Do You Want Him?" was directed at his mother and not on his own personal experiance. He said that her boyfriend left her and she was sad so he wrote it about that. He was about 12 years old at the time. The first song he wrote was called "Looking For Love" when he was just 5!!!

--"Sassafras Roots" was made up by Mike when Billie needed a name for the song.

--"The Grouch" was originally titled "Happy Grouch"

--"Having A Blast" is actually about Having A Blast. Or in other words, it's about hostage situations with bombs and stuff.

--Mike wrote the bassline for "Longview" while he was high, then forgot it the next day.

--Billie had the nickname "2 Dollar Bill" in high school becuase he sold joints for $2.

--Tre Cool's real name is Frank Edwin Wright III.

--"All By Myself" was recorded with a bunch of stoned people at someone's house, not a studio.

--"Tight Wad Hill" is a hill in Crockett, CA where all the druggies would hang out and watch all the John Swett High School football games for free.

--The corner of Stuart and the Ave. is the corner of Stuart Street and Telegraph Avenue. It's in Berkeley, CA.

--Pulling Teeth is about Mike and his (ex) wife Anastasia. Back around the time of Kerplunk! they were at a friends house having a pillow fight. Mike ran around a corner and hit his head on a low ceiling beam. He fell backwards and broke both of his elbows. So now if you read the lyrics it all makes sense! The name Pulling Teeth was stolen from Metallica. They have a song called Anesthesia Pulling Teeth, and since the song was about Mike's girlfriend Anastasia ( pretty close to anesthesia ) Billie named the song Pulling Teeth.

--A band called "Wat Tyler" sings a song called "I wanna be Billie Joe".

--"J.A.R." stands for Jason Andrew Relva. Mike wrote it. And it was written about growing up.

--Billie got his first guitar when he was 11. He never uses it in shows anymore or in the studio it's named "blue".

--Tim Armstrong of Rancid is not related to Billie Joe.

--THe Laurie L. story is fiction.

--The phrase "GREEN DAY" is Bay-area slang for a day with lots of green bud where you just sit around taking bong hits, hanging around

--Billie wrote the song "Green Day" about his first experience with pot.

--Billies hair naturally is redish-brown.

--Green Day have had 2 drummers. Not 3.

--Billie Joe and Adrienne do use the internet, but adrienne claims "Billie couldn't get online if he tried!"
